Description
Like the carbohydrate columns, the Organic a Acid column is based on a functionalized polystyrene –divinylbenzene copolymer, in this case in its H+ form this phase is especially suitable for the separation of weak organic acids, e.g. from foods or fermentation processes. Dilute purely aqueous sulfuric acid is used as an eluent . For the separation of mixture of organic acids and carbohydrates elevated temperatures (45-800C) are recommended .
